Our Values
Scranton Rd. Ministries Community Development Corporation helps to revitalize Cleveland, one life at a time; by engaging, equipping, and mobilizing our youth and families with the Gospel of Christ and the skills and support for lifelong success.
Compelled by God’s love, we envision our city transformed from the inside out. (2 Cor. 5:14-20, Romans 5:8, Phil. 2:1-4, Matt. 22:36-40.
We believe Jesus transforms lives. When people thrive, families thrive. When families thrive, the community thrives. And vibrant communities full of thriving people produce a flourishing city.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews4:12-13; 2 Peter 1:21).
There is one God, eternally existent in 3 Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Matthew 28:19).
In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return to power and glory (Matthew 1:18, 23; John 1:1, 5:18; Acts 2:31-33; 1 Corinthians 15:1-6; 2 Corinthians 5:21; I John 2:1-2).
We believe that individuals are saved from their sins through a direct, personal encounter with the risen Lord Jesus, at which time they are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and receive the irrevocable gift of eternal life (John 3:3, 3:16; Romans 11:29; Ephesians 2:8-9).
In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. (John 14:16-17, 16:7-11; I Corinthians 6:19, 12:4-11, Ephesians 4:30; Hebrews 2:4)
In the spiritual unity of all believers in Jesus Christ. (John 17:20-23; Acts 2:42-47; I Corinthians 1:1-2; Ephesians 4:11-13)
