Youth Jobs Partnership

Youth Jobs Partnership

Youth Jobs Partnership (YJP) is a workforce development initiative that annually provides students, ages 16-22, with comprehensive job training, professional development and mentorship opportunities.  YJP transforms underserved participants into a highly-competent workforce with marketable skills and a solid work ethic, and then helps transition them to the next appropriate opportunity.  This results in a very personalized, relationally-driven and operationally efficient program that provides students with real-life skills they do not receive in other settings.  Because the setting is the CMSD classroom, the program also complements students’ curriculum requirements, thus reinforcing critical skills and producing deliverables required for academic success and graduation.
